No Knowledge Without Good Manners
"Adab (refined etiquette) is the true adornment of a believer, and gentleness is the bedrock of their character. A divergence of views never justifies cause for offense or disrespect in discourse. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'A true believer is neither a slanderer, nor one who curses, nor is he obscene or vulgar.' He also said: 'Gentleness does not enter into anything without beautifying it, nor is it removed from anything without disfiguring it.'
So let our hearts be spacious enough to embrace disagreement, and let our debates be guided by reason and the strength of sound evidence—all without tarnishing the grace of courtesy or violating the sanctity of mutual respect. For indeed, knowledge stripped of proper etiquette is hollow, and conflict clad in poor manners degrades both the soul and the bonds between us."
