التجارة التي لا تعرف الخسارة

يظن كثير من الناس أن ما يملكونه من مال أو وقت أو قوة أو جاه هو ملك خالص لهم، فيتشبثون به ويخشون نقصانه، وينسون أن العمر نفسه رأس مال يتناقص مع كل يوم يمر، وأن ما بين أيدينا ليس إلا أمانة مؤقتة، سرعان ما نغادرها أو تغادرنا.

والعاقل لا يقاس بقدر ما يجمع، بل بقدر ما يحسن استثمار ما أُعطي. فما قيمة مال بقي بعد صاحبه؟ وما قيمة وقت مضى دون أثر نافع؟ وما قيمة حياة امتلأت بالأخذ وخَلَت من العطاء؟

ومن رحمة الله بعباده أنه فتح لهم باباً عجيباً من أبواب الفضل، فدعاهم إلى تجارة لا تشبه تجارة الناس. فالتاجر في الدنيا يطلب الربح لنفسه، أما الله سبحانه فهو الغني عن العالمين، لا تنفعه طاعة الطائعين ولا تضره معصية العاصين، ولكنه يدعو عباده إلى هذه التجارة رحمة بهم، وإرادةً لخيرهم، وفتحاً لأبواب السعادة لهم في الدنيا والآخرة.

فما يقدمه المؤمن من صلاة أو صدقة أو إحسان أو كلمة طيبة قد يبدو قليلاً في عينه، لكنه عند الله عظيم إذا صحّت النية وصدق القصد. وليس السر في كمال العمل، فالكمال عزيز على البشر، وإنما السر في صدق التوجه إلى الله، وفي المجاهدة المستمرة رغم النقص والتقصير.

ولذلك كان فضل الله أعظم من أعمال العباد؛ فهو سبحانه يقبل القليل، ويبارك فيه، ويضاعف أجره، ويجزي عليه بما لا يخطر على قلب بشر. فالعبد يعمل العمل اليسير، ثم يجد عند الله من الثواب ما يدهشه، فيدرك أن ما ناله لم يكن بعدل العمل وحده، وإنما بفضل الكريم ورحمته.

وما الدنيا في حقيقتها إلا سوق عابر، أيامه معدودة، وساعاته محسوبة، والناس فيه بين رابح وخاسر. والرابح ليس من خرج منه بأكثر المتاع، وإنما من خرج منه بقلب سليم وعمل صالح وذكر حسن يرجو به رحمة ربه.

فإذا انقضى العمر وطُويت الصحائف، أدرك الإنسان أن أثمن ما كان يملكه لم يكن ماله ولا عقاره ولا منصبه، بل تلك اللحظات التي أنفقها في طاعة الله، وتلك الأعمال التي أخلص فيها لوجهه الكريم، وتلك القلوب التي أدخل عليها السرور ابتغاء مرضاته.

هنالك تتجلى الحقيقة كاملة: أن ما عند الله خير وأبقى، وأن أعظم صفقة في حياة الإنسان ليست ما جمعه لنفسه، بل ما قدّمه بين يدي ربه، راجياً فضله، مؤملاً رحمته، مستيقناً أن الكريم إذا أعطى أدهش، وإذا وعد أوفى، وإذا قبل من عبده القليل أثابه عليه الجزيل.

فطوبى لمن عرف قيمة أيامه قبل فواتها، وباع الفاني بالباقي، وجعل من عمره طريقاً إلى ما لا يفنى، فإن الأرباح الحقيقية لا تُعرف عند افتتاح الأسواق، وإنما عند إغلاق الحساب.

The Trade That Knows No Loss

Many people believe that their wealth, time, strength, or status truly belongs to them. They cling to these possessions and fear losing them, forgetting that life itself is a form of capital that diminishes with every passing day, and that everything in our hands is but a temporary trust—one that we will soon leave behind, or that will leave us.

A wise person is not measured by how much he accumulates, but by how well he invests what he has been given. What value is there in wealth that remains after its owner is gone? What value is there in time that passes without leaving a beneficial trace? And what value is there in a life filled with taking but empty of giving?

Out of His mercy toward His servants, Almighty Allah has opened for them a remarkable door of grace. He has invited them to a trade unlike any trade of this world. The merchant seeks profit for himself, but Almighty Allah is free of all need from His creation. The obedience of the obedient does not benefit Him, nor does the disobedience of the sinful diminish Him. Yet He calls His servants to this trade out of mercy for them, desiring their good and opening for them the gates of happiness in this life and the next.

What a believer offers—whether a prayer, a charity, an act of kindness, or a good word—may seem small in his own eyes, yet it is great in the sight of Allah when accompanied by sincere intention and a truthful heart. The secret is not in the perfection of the deed, for perfection is beyond human reach. Rather, the secret lies in sincere devotion to Allah and in persevering despite shortcomings and imperfections.

For this reason, the grace of Allah is far greater than the deeds of His servants. He accepts little, blesses it, multiplies its reward, and grants for it recompense beyond imagination. A servant may perform a modest act, only to find a reward from Allah that leaves him astonished. Then he realizes that what he received was not merely the result of his deeds, but the manifestation of his Lord’s generosity and mercy.

In reality, this worldly life is nothing more than a passing marketplace. Its days are numbered, its hours counted, and its people are divided between gain and loss. The true winner is not the one who leaves it with the greatest amount of possessions, but the one who departs with a sound heart, righteous deeds, and a good remembrance, hoping for the mercy of his Lord.

When life comes to an end and the records are unfolded, a person will realize that his most valuable possessions were neither his wealth, nor his property, nor his position. Rather, they were those moments spent in obedience to Allah, those deeds sincerely performed for His noble sake, and those hearts to which he brought happiness seeking His pleasure.

It is then that the full truth becomes clear: what is with Allah is better and everlasting. The greatest transaction in a person’s life is not what he gathered for himself, but what he sent ahead to his Lord—hoping for His grace, trusting in His mercy, and certain that when the Generous gives, He amazes; when He promises, He fulfills; and when He accepts a little from His servant, He rewards it abundantly.

Blessed, then, is the one who recognizes the value of his days before they slip away, who exchanges what is temporary for what is eternal, and who turns his lifetime into a path toward that which never perishes. For true profits are not known when the marketplace opens, but when the final account is settled.
