Giving and Contentment

There is no absolute perfection in this world, for true perfection belongs solely to its Creator, nor is there absolute deficiency in a universe governed by the All-Wise, the All-Aware.

Life is simply a matter of allotted shares: blessings written for you by His mercy, and deprivation ordained for you by His wisdom. Here precisely does the profound truth reveal itself: either you look with the eye of gratitude upon what your right hand holds, living contentedly amidst the meadows of satisfaction, rejoicing in the guidance of the Prophet (ï·º) who urged us to look at those beneath us so that we may not belittle the blessings of Allah; or you prolong your gaze toward what is lost, turning your hands in regret over what you were denied, reaping nothing but wounds and a wasted life, just as the Most Merciful has forbidden us from grieving over what has passed.

True life does not lie in the abundance of material fortunes, but in the serenity of a heart that perceives gratitude in giving and subtle grace in withholding. Whoever is not content with what has been apportioned to them, life will pass them by as a fleeting illusion, without ever tasting the true flavor of a genuine existence.
